1.Different rabbit breeds have different uses:Chinchillas,White giants,Newzealand whites and Flemish giants are for meat,while the Angoras, including German Angora, are for wool.
2. Rabbits are prolific breeders, giving average of 6-8 offspring in a litter.They give upto 4 kindlings a year, giving upto 24-32 offspring a year
3.Rabbits are very sensitive animals .They should be protected against extreme heat, cold and sudden sounds.
4.Rabbits have a gestational period of 28-30 days
5.They have a high meat conversion ratio:1:3
6.besides meat, they can also be ued for hide, fur and research purposes, espescially in pharmaceuticals and disease investigations
